Years 11-12 English : Standard, Advanced
Our English program is focused on the Preliminary HSC exam. With lecture classes (of less than 5 students), tutorials and 1-on-1 tutoring is a proven formula for rapid improvement. Each lesson is focused around our individual students. Our lecturers, mentors and tutors are committed to helping each student achieve a mastery of the Preliminary HSC content while honing their examination skills with scheduled monthly exams.
We employ a variety of teaching mediums (such as audio-visual equipment) to help with teaching key scientific concepts. There will be discussion times between students and teachers to help clear up any confusion with certain concepts learnt during the lecture. Our classes will have no more than 5 students to ensure that all students are actively learning and contributing to the class discussion.
Course Overview
The English program will help students increase their skills in understanding, fluency, reasoning and problem solving in science. Our courses are designed around each of the Preliminary HSC Syllabus dot points and our course material clearly covers everything our students need to ace their HSC.
HSC English

You can opt to attend a single course that aligns with your needs or enroll in multiple courses to receive comprehensive support across an entire HSC subject, including HSC English.
We offer a comprehensive program that includes both standard and advanced HSC English preparation courses, encompassing a variety of topics. These courses equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance the effectiveness of their HSC English studies and improve their HSC results.
What our English Students will develop
Mastery of HSC Dot Points
Students undertaking this program will gain a mastery of HSC syllabus dot points. This program is designed to expose the students to difficult, new and unique scientific questions. Students will solve a large variety of questions as they progress through the course further increasing their knowledge.
Mastery of Examination Skills
This course is exam focused not just on the knowledge demanded by the HSC Syllabus but is also focused on examination skills. A students ability to correctly use reading times and familiarity with marking criteria is plays a great role in how well he/she performs in exams. This is a comprehensive course which covers many examination skills and implements a monthly exams to keep students at peak performance.
Appreciation for English related careers
With high school graduations closing up, students are required to make a potentially life long career decision. It is no surprise that many students find themselves confused and lacking enough understanding of the real world to match their strengths with realistic goals. Our mentors and advisers are trained to clarify the potential of each course and its application to a ‘real world’ career.
